Family & Community Banking

Like most of us, I have some treasured Christmas memories. You probably aren’t surprised to hear that my favorite ones are all about family, not colorful wrapping paper in intriguing shapes. In spite of the stress and commercialism of the holiday season, I never tire of spending time with family and friends. This season is all about special times, time to reconnect, create memories, and build stronger families.

Community banking is very much like a family. At Anahuac National Bank, we call ourselves “A Family of Community Banks Serving Southeast Texas.” We strive to build a strong culture made up of employees who are bonded to each other, support each other, and push each other to reach new levels of performance—just like families do. Let me tell you how I feel the mutual respect, inclusiveness, and shared values we hold seem like a family.

1. It’s personal. With community banking, you always receive one-on-one personal service. We believe this is exactly what you deserve to help you with all of your banking needs. Whatever the stage of your financial journey, we are with you long-term.

2. You can count on quick decisions. We are based locally; all of our decisions are made locally. We’ll never have to check with someone in another state to get an answer. Our bank management, board of directors, and staff all live in our communities.

3. We understand your needs. Because we know the families and businesses that trust us with their banking, we are here to support you and help you prosper. We fully understand the markets we serve and have been here for almost 50 years.

4. Community banks are nimble, responsive. Being smaller than a regional or national bank, we are more agile, able to cater to your specific needs. As your partner, we listen to your goals and challenges and tailor products and services to meet your unique needs. You are never forced into a rigid set of service offerings.

5. We’re committed to supporting our communities. We invest countless hours and resources into our schools, municipalities, and charitable organizations. You will find our team out in the community volunteering and serving in leadership positions to make a difference in our neighborhoods.

6. Your money stays in your community. The funds that are deposited and saved in our bank stay right here. It’s as simple as you put the money in the bank, and we loan the money back to families and businesses. Your loans and deposits will never be transferred out of Texas.

Engagement, building relationships, offering encouragement and support, growing as partners, and celebrating success. Isn’t that what we all desire? May this Christmas bring out the kid in you, may you experience joy, excitement, and a deep connection to the family that started it all: Mary, Joseph, and infant Jesus. We always appreciate your support and look forward to serving you in the coming year!
